Well, That Was a Cold Walk

I took a trip around one of my favorite lakes here in the Omaha area. I figured I could plan on the path there being cleared better than the sidewalks in my neighborhood, which they were.

I forgot about the wind. I spent most of the first mile heading straight into the wind, and it didn’t take long for my ears to start burning. I’ve been getting into wearing my scally again, so stubborn me went out without any ear protection. That said, once I was able to start walking with the wind, it wasn’t as bad out.

I’m glad I got out. I’m trying to embrace the cold more, and it was a sunny day, so I took advantage of it. The geese at the lake started giving me a show as the sun began to set, which gave me some entertainment and some photo opportunities.
